Roads leading to British Council in Karachi blocked

KARACHI: Heavy contingents of Police and Rangers reached the British Consulate in Karachi on Tuesday in wake of the recent situation of the city.

Civil Society members protested outside the British Consulate against the MQM chief, whose inflammatory speech yesterday incited party workers to attack media houses which killed one and injured several others.

Roads from the British Consulate up to Do Talwar at Clifton were blocked.

The protesters outside the British Consulate were holding banners that demanded arrest of the MQM chief.

Women and children were among protesters.
