ISLAMABAD: Members at a high level meeting presided by the prime minister on Tuesday decided that those who preach hate against Pakistan will have to pay for it.
Without naming Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain, the members said that âsomeoneâ living in a foreign country would not be allowed to destroy peace in Karachi, sources confirmed.
It was decided that stability, national interest, and honour of Pakistan will be protected, sources said.
National Security Advisor Lt Gen (R) Nasir Janjua briefed the prime minister over implementation of the National Action Plan. He explained the progress on tasks given to NACTA and other government bodies.
The prime minister expressed his satisfaction over the Rangersâ operation in Karachi, sources said.
The meeting was held in the wake of riots in Karachi on Tuesday where MQM workers ransacked an ARY news office and killed one person.
MQM party workers took to the streets yesterday after Altaf Hussain, in an address from London, incited them to storm media outlets and chant anti-Pakistan slogans during the hunger strike.
In violent protests that ensued, party workers ransacked the offices of ARY News and damaged a mobile satellite van.
