KARACHI: Police on Thursday rounded up a suspect involved in the murder of Ali Farhan, who was killed by his own friends in Karachi a few days ago.
The suspect, Faizan, was arrested from Korangi area, said SSP Korangi Noman Siddiqui. He is alleged of murdering Ali Farhan by subjecting him to brutal torture along with five other accomplices.
The other suspects in the case still remain at large.
On July 28, Faizan and other accomplices had entered into the house of their friend, Ali Farhan, in Malir Alfalah Society, according to police. The victim was indebted to his friends after having lost their money he had invested in the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Faizan and other friends had tortured Farhan the entire night and fled the scene, taking valuables from the house along with them, said the victim’s family. They had also slashed the victim with a sharp object wounding him seriously.
Farhan was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim used to work in the stock exchange and had got married a year ago.
