KARACHI: Due to continuous efforts since September 2013 made by the paramilitary force in collaboration with the local police, the crime ratio in interior Sindh has decreased significantly, with a 40 percent drop recorded in murders, 53 percent in dacoities, 77 percent decrease in kidnapping for ransom and 27 percent in armed robberies.
These statistics were released by the Sindh Rangers as part of a report of its operations in interior Sindh conducted with the assistance of the Sindh Police.
A Rangers spokesman said the force had conducted multiple raids in interior Sindh under Article-147 since September 5, 2013. As per the data released by Rangers on July 21, the paramilitary force has arrested 533 suspects in multiple targeted and intelligence based operations in interior Sindh.
Of the 533 suspects held, 478 were handed over to local police for further legal proceedings, while 55 were handed over to different law enforcing departments.
