Lahore hit by rain, power outages across city

LAHORE: Torrential rains hit the provincial capital on Thursday inundating streets and causing power outages.

At least 136 feeders tripped due to the rain causing power outages in several areas of the city.

The worst hit area was Johar Town where 64 mm rain was recorded. Television footage available with Geo News showed vehicles immersed in water.

Rain is expected to continue for another three to five hours, the Met department forecast.
